It’s Lisa Catalano’s second anniversary! Lisa is our HR Technology Analyst & Provider Relations Liaison. We’re thrilled to be celebrating her second year with BTR. In honor of this milestone, we asked Lisa a few questions to get to know her better. Happy anniversary, Lisa! Thank you for being a part of our BTR family:
What have you learned from your most recent project?
In the wise words of Mr. Vanilla Ice, “Stop. Collaborate and listen”.
I learned that we are all smart, just on different subjects. Taking the time to listen to others before speaking is critical to a successful merging of minds.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Completing the genealogy research and obtaining dual citizenship in Italy for my family.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
Saffron rice, my grandma’s homemade noodles or Vietnamese lemongrass tofu spring rolls. Just not all at the same time…
What are your hobbies?
I feel like most people would answer “traveling”, who doesn’t like to travel?! When I travel I like to find the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants in every city, and always try to live like a local instead of treating travel like a vacation. Getting outside and hiking is my happy place- especially in the mountains. Photography- because pics or it didn’t happen, right?! Recently, skydiving has become a hobby. I also like to play piano and enjoy the challenge of cooking a new recipe. Grocery shopping is my favorite type of shopping, especially at local markets.
Where was your best vacation memory?
This question has multiple answers: Renting a car and driving Europe for three months with no itinerary, visiting a kindergarten in Beijing, China with my family and spending a time at an elementary school in Zanzibar engaging with the students discussing cultural differences.
