Ultimate Overview

Earlier this month, BTR attended the 5th annual Ultimate Advisory Summit in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Attending alongside us were over 100 other firms in the HR consulting industry. Over 4,100 companies currently use Ultimate to assist with their workplace operations. Ultimate’s motto is “People First”; this core brand messaging is how the company build its internal and external relationships. Moreover, Ultimate has been awarded numerous workplace recognitions. Forbes Magazine named Ultimate the #3 medium size workplace in the country, the #1 place to work in the technology industry, and the #2 best workplace in the country for women. On top of that, Ultimate boasts a 94% employee retention with financial growth since 2008.

This past year, Ultimate moved away from a tiered support model to a swarm support method. In doing so, the company hopes to offer greater service in a more time-efficient manner.



Benefits Prime

Benefits Prime is the newest benefit administration offering in the UltiPro family.  The platform is considered a “white labeled” version of PlanSource. The goal of Benefits Prime is to provide a seamless integration with Ultimate, as well as to offer a better solution. Benefits Prime does this by being able to accommodate more voluntary plans, have better decision support tools (side-by-side comparison, video library) and by accommodating complex plan design. Ultimate will be responsible for building and servicing this platform. Benefits Prime will be sold through Ultimate, while PlanSource will be directly responsible for EDI builds through 2019. In 2019, the EDI builds will transition to an internal Ultimate team. It’s worth noting that Benefits Prime does have an additional cost associated with it. Typically, this additional cost is a set-up fee and on-going PEPM.
