On behalf of all of us at BTR, we’d like to wish Jaime Ferguson a very happy sixth anniversary! In honor of this important milestone, we asked Jaime a few questions to get to know her better:
What is your title and what is a day in the life for you like?
Benefit Administration Team Lead, my day is a mixed bag depending on the time of the year, and clients. Emails (of course), evaluate any client concerns or needs, determine my calendar for the day and what projects are in the works. I also have a lot of tactical projects that I’m working on to continue the growth and success of our team and BTR. The best part of my day is my team, they are always there when anyone needs anything and so supportive of each other.
What are the key issues that you see BTR addressing in the future?
ACA state mandates that are just starting to be released. Technology isn’t everything, a strong admin is critical!
What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?
How to use a ceramics throwing wheel. Unless you mean professionally… how to be a technology super user.
What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?
If you’re not embarrassed by the salary you’re asking for then it’s not enough. You must know your worth!
Describe a recent project that you’ve learned from. What did you learn throughout the process?
I like to learn from every project no matter how big or small, there’s always something to learn or grow from. The most recent client implementation I learned that the process is never the same twice, every client is unique even with the same needs. Data is the most important part to our world, the system and team is only as good as the information provided.
